 ONLINE GUN BUYING GUIDEFernwood Armory holds a Federal Firearms License and follows all Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives rules and regulations for the sale and transfer of firearms. Please read the following policies before purchasing a firearm at fernwoodarmory.com. MAKING YOUR PURCHASE To purchase a handgun: You must be 21 years of age or older To purchase a long gun (shotguns and rifles): You must be 18 years of age or older. Please verify the firearm you wish to purchase meets the laws of your state, county, or city. Complete your purchase online.You will receive an email confirmation of your order. If you do not receive an email order status update within 24 hours after placing your order, please give us a call at 1-888-319-4811. Sometimes our emails are blocked by spam filters. PAYING FOR YOUR PURCHASE You may pay for your purchase in the following ways:
*Cash discount is 3%. To receive discount, place item in shopping cart, select check/money order as payment method and enter discount code FERNWOODCASH. Items will not ship until payment clears. Checks must be received within 5 business days of order. If payment is not received within 5 days, items will be relisted for sale. ARRANGE FOR THE FIREARM TRANSFER Federal firearms laws prevents Fernwood Armory from shipping firearms directly to individuals without a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL), however we can ship them to a local FFL Holder near you. This may be a local gun store, range, gunsmith or other location that holds an FFL. Need help finding an FFL? We recommend these resources: http://www.gunbroker.com/FFL/DealerNetwork.aspx Once you know which FFL will be handling your transfer, have the FFL contact us: Phone: 888-319-4811 Fax: 866-832-8130 Email: sales@fernwoodarmory.com FFLs must be exchanged before the firearm can be shipped. When your FFL holder receives your firearm, you will need to pick it up. Please inspect your firearm to make certain that everything is acceptable before filling out the necessary paperwork. Should you need to return the firearm, please see our return policy below. You will be responsible for any fees the receiving FFL holder charges for handling the transfer. These rates vary, you may want to check with several in your area using the above links to find the best deal. You must fill out the BATFE form 4473 when the firearm is picked up at the receiving FFL holder. This is for the FBI background check. SHIPPING Shipping is free on all items to the lower 48 US States. Please contact us for shipping quotes to Alaska and Hawaii. Once Fernwood Armory has a valid FFL on record to transfer to the buyer, the firearm can be shipped. Shipping is by UPS, FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. All items are insured and require a signature. Shipping is usually within 1-2 business days after we receive payment and the FFL details. You will receive a tracking number by email when your firearm ships to your FFL. No local pickup: we are an online retailer and do not offer local pickup. RETURNS New Guns: Returns or any other issues with the condition of the firearm are handled by the manufacturer's warranty. Please contact the manufacturer for details. Used Guns: Returns may be made within 3 business days of receiving the firearm, subject to the following conditions:
Ammo: No returns In the event of shipping damage please contact us at sales@fernwoodarmory.com for a return authorization number. Please reference your order number in your request. TAXES We are responsible for collecting sales tax on purchases made by Ohio residents only. PROHIBITED SALES California: Fernwood Armory sells guns to residents in California. However, restrictions may apply as not all guns we sell are allowed in California. Handguns to California must be on the state certified roster or be eligible curio and relics. Shipping to California C&R-long guns only. C&R handguns must go to Type 01 FFL. Please contact us or your receiving FFL with questions about particular firearms to California. Other states: There may also be restrictions for other states/cities/counties depending upon the type of firearm purchased.
